Greater Cleveland

The League of Women Voters of Greater Cleveland serves voters in Cuyahoga County and has ten chapters to serve local municipalities: Bay Village, Cleveland, Cleveland Heights-University Heights, East Cleveland, Fairview Park, Hillcrest, Lakewood, Rocky River, Shaker Heights, and Westlake-North Olmsted.

Since 1920, the League of Women Voters has been a leader in empowering citizens and defending democracy.

The League:

  • Encourages active participation in elections by providing nonpartisan information about candidates, issues, and how to vote
  • Works to protect and expand people’s access to elections and their government
  • Provides information people trust about major public policy issues
  • Takes positions on public policy matters and lobbies for change
  • Recruits and develops women and men to be members and leaders

The unofficial results for all races and issues are available. Both county-wide Issues 3 (Try-C levy) and 6 (county charter amendment on the Sheriff) passed. Overall turnout was 26%.
